Nonsensical Sale!

Posted by Justin under Culture of Geekdom View recent posts with the tag Culture of Geekdom on Technorati

I got this in an email today from Audible.com, which doesn’t get a link today because of the sheer idiocy of the promotion:

audible summer clearance sale

Tell me how, exactly, one can have a clearance sale for non-tangible goods? Are they going to run out of digital copies of their audiobooks? Hmph.

Hmmm. Since it’s just 1’s and 0’s, I think the 0’s should be free, no? They are, by definition, nothing after all… Then again, if they’re 0’s they can’t really be taking up any space, so it must be all those 1’s forcing them to “clear out the warehouses”.

But, then yet again… a 1 is way skinnier than a 0.

My head ‘asplode.
