My spiritually formative activities are a mixture of scripture reading, prayer, blogging, and sheer geekery. —Justin

Josh Rogers, with whom I had the pleasure of working a few years ago, is blogging the Iditarod dogsled race again this year.

Last year Josh was in Nome, Alaska running a Christian radio station (the call letters are KICY, appropriately enough) and got to see the race firsthand, and interview a lot of people.

This year his coverage is being done from Washington state, but with more depth and media coverage than before. He’s posting maps of each stage of the race, too, so you can see where the dogs are at the moment.

Some highlights:

  • There is a blind musher this year
  • Gary Paulsen, author of the children’s survival novel Hatchet, dropped out early, though he has run the Iditarod several times

Check out the Iditablog (or subscribe to its RSS feed) and tell Josh I said hi.
