This is by far the funniest EC-related post I have ever seen, and it only has a few words. Check out Marc’s pictoral “You might be emerging if…” quiz. I’m guilty. Guilty. Guilty.
However…
- I do not like Guinness. If you would like to know why, please contact me personally and we will discuss it.
- I have read all of the books on the list, except the ones by Foster, Lamott, and Peterson (though I’ve read other titles by those authors)
- I have not heard Sufjan Stevens‘ music, and my iPod is a shuffle
- I do not like bumper stickers, nor polarized, politicized cultural group identities such as “Christian liberal”
- I’m a PC user (insert brief Mac-bashing comment here)
That might seem like a lot of caveats, but scroll through the quiz and I think you’ll still see what I mean. It’s pretty much dead-on.

That car was a prius, not a scion. None the less, it wouldn’t hurt to become part of the Scion Generation if you want to be considered emerging. The thing is, I never listened to many of those artists but I get the idea.
