Things have been going swimmingly over at Emergent What?. We’re having some excellent cross-cultural discussions (or conversations if you prefer) and finding a lot of common ground.
Also, Scot McKnight’s excellent Jesus Creed feed for his Emerging Movement series has been added, even though it’s not anti-EC. He offers a significant and wise voice for the emerging church to listen to. Check it out.

I agree, Justin, and it’s thanks to you that such excellent people are getting together to talk. I watched the tone go from a little too adversarial (there was even some name-calling) to courteous, serious and loving within a few days. There are great people doing good work over there.

I’m glad to hear I was wrong about my doomsday predictions for the site! This is the cost/benefit tradeoff of chronic pessimism–I’m rarely disappointed, but occasionally pleasantly surprised…
I too am encouraged, and surprised, that things are going well over there.
Are you having dialog with Carla & Ingrid or at least some of their supporters? That would truly be a victory, but even if you’re just having thoughtful debate over the issues they bring up, that’s a good thing.
Carla and Ingrid seem to have taken a vow of ignoring us comment-wise, though the Slice bloggers are definitely reading the site, since they post about it.
I didn’t anticipate that they would participate in discussions, since they said as much ahead of time. Oh well.
Oh, and some of their readers (namely Mr. Annon, Carl, and Chris P) are participating, though Mr. Annon may be bowing out at this point.
