I have enjoyed listening to Alan Hartung’s podcast A Different Perspective (feed), and right now, having plowed through all of Alan’s releases to date, I’m working through the Wired Jesus podcast from Tom Lyberg (feed).
I see that Tim Bednar (feed) has also taken on the podcasting challenge, though I haven’t had a chance to listen in.
There is a huge listing of “religious/inspirational” podcasts over at PodcastAlley, though it’s a broad category. It’s amazing/cool how many Catholic podcasts there are, what with Catholics not having the tech/edgy vibe according to public perception.
The original (and very popular) podcast is Adam Curry’s Daily Source Code (feed), which he records in his car while commuting. I’ve listened to it, but haven’t been keeping up. Do you like it?
What podcasts do you enjoy?
One more thing - you don’t have to have an iPod, or even an MP3 player, to listen to podcasts. You just need a computer and a free mp3 player like WinAmp. You can automate the listening process a lot more easily if you have an iPod and use an app like iPodder, but they’re not necessary. After all, a podcast is just an audio file. If you use an RSS reader like Bloglines, you can subscribe to the feeds normally and just download the mp3s manually.

You just gotta listen, I’m about as stupid about this new medium as I was when I first started blogging. But hey, gotta start somewhere. — Tim
Justin, that’s a good question. Thanks for asking. I too want to know what podcasts you guys regularly listen to.
Only one out of every 50 you preview is worth listening to repeatedly. It’s a frustrating search. I have found two, though, that keep me entertained on my 15-minute walk from commuter parking to my office (and even on the ride to school itself):
1) James Lileks has begun to put one on recently, called The Diner. It averages a half hour and features some of his favorite music finds from the America of yesteryear. The rest of his blog (and the regular site to which it’s attached) is also full of hilarious stuff. If you haven’t seen it yet, take an hour and poke around (it might take you that long to find the link to The Diner, but this link will get you close): http://www.lileks.com/bleats/
2) Mr. Nice Guy is a guy I found through ipodder.org. I’ve only listened to a couple of his shows so far, but they all seem to be a very portable 5-7 minutes long. He talks in a funny voice and ponders silly celebrity decisions and advertising missteps. So far i’m enjoying it: http://www.mrniceguy.org/
So, what do you listen to? Let’s make a list of the good.
Justin’s Podcasts note got me back to listening to the Northpoint sermon archive which got me thinking about faith which led to:

I wonder what happened to trackbacks anyways
Ok - I’ve got one…its a bit different from some other pods I’ve heard and its called TANTMKM - They do a feature on the show called IQ (hosted by Kenny Q) where they discuss the pressing religious and philosophical issues of the day. Its not on every show, but when its on, it really makes you think - the last one he did was about the ‘nature of being and the beings of nature’. The previous one was questioning the role of modern day spirituality and investigating the notion of secularity as a religion itself. They also have some other other good features, the Kenny Q interview for example, which has often featured international religious leaders facing a stiff grilling on their beliefs; always interesting - and as they describe it on the show ‘piercing, interrogative and incisive’. Worth a whirl if you fancy something different that’s gonna challenge your beliefs…its at http://www.mangolounge.com/good-podcast.htm
Oops - No sorry that should be:
