Someone: So what’d you do this weekend?
Me: Oh, got some Buffalo Wings with my wife and a friend.
Someone: Cool! Where’d you go?
Me: Buffalo.
My friend Dan is having a birthday in a couple weeks so Andrea and I decided to take him on a surprise weekend adventure. Dan and I became acquainted at church but didn’t really become good friends until we started hanging out about once a week over a plate of spicy Buffalo Wings. In honor of that tasty facet of our friendship I decided to take Dan to the Buffalo, New York — birthplace of the Buffalo Wing. I also booked our hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario so we were able to enjoy the falls Saturday afternoon. That evening we drove back down to Buffalo to the Anchor Bar where the first Buffalo Wings were created. The wings were fantastic but the company was even better. I think Dan really had a good time. I know I did.

The Devastation

I hope you enjoyed your stay in Canada. We’re pretty happy with our little country. Don’t let the touristy crap of Niagara Falls fool you, it really is nice up here.
I can attest to this fact - Aaron really does not like shoes. He wore Tevas at his wedding, I’m told :).
That’s a nasty rumor!
I wanted to wear Tevas at my wedding but Andrea wouldn’t have it. I don’t understand women sometimes.
As a side note, after the Teva incident I switched to Chaco sandals which have their own sets of advantages and disadvantages. All in all, I like them.
Hi Aaron,
I see you’re interested in Buffalo wings and climate change… and I happen to need a picture of something Buffalonian for a report on climate change. If you’re interested in sharing your photo, please contact me at icohen@ucsusa.org and I can give you more info.
Thanks.
