Some friends of ours are moving to Nome, Alaska, home of the Iditarod finish line. Cool. Josh will be working at KICY, a Christian radio station owned by the Evangelical Covenant Church. They broadcast in Russian into Russia at night, and are working on getting solar-powered battery radios to people over there (it’s less than 100 miles). Very cool. They’ll be there a year.

KICY is a great ministry. Our (Evangelical Covenant) church just put on a fundraiser for them here in Tucson, a fer piece from Nome, granted. In our mobile, commuting society, Christian radio is a very effective clarion of the Gospel, and in Nome, where the choices in radio are few and life can be brutal, KICY does a great work offering the compassion, hope and grace of Christ. Thanks for mentioning this little-known ministry.
